A few days ago, Gabi and I visited the Hawaiian monk seal pupping site on the North Shore of Oahu, where Honey Girl gave birth to her newest daughter. Fortunately both mom and pup are doing great and it was good to see that the pup has put some weight on her since our last encounter. When we arrived, they were in the water near the beach and Honey Girl gave swimming lessons to the young one, then they crawled ashore and played in the sand. They both seemed to be having fun and we enjoyed watching and photographing these rare animals.
