Last weekend, I went to the North Shore of Oahu (Hawaii) for photographing the Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas). The Hawaiian name of the green sea turtle is honu. The Laniakea Beach is one of the best places on Oahu to encounter sea turtles. Turtles crawl ashore regularly to bask in the sunshine. Unfortunately, Laniakea is always crowded with tourists, so it is really difficult to take good photos of basking turtles. Thus, I rather tried to photograph a swimming turtle. I took this photo when the turtle stuck its head out of the water to take a breath.
